Moodboards
IKONIK is a new company focusing in tattoo aftercare. They wanted a name that was professional but edgy. 4 names were pitched, all fully vetted for trademarks, URLs and social media handles. Then, a few moodboards were supplied to help understand the client’s vision.
Logo
It took some time to figure out the visual direction of IKONIK. Here’s a sample of some of the logos we went through before landing on what would be the official logo.
Messaging
First I helped the brand owner define their mission, vision, values so that could guide us.
Next, we named each product to all end with a K for brand consistency. I created a template for content so that each product had similar information.
Packaging
After market research, I found that most packaging in the tattoo space is black. To disrupt the market, we went with white, a splash of neon green, and tans.
Brand Guide
Lastly, I combined all information - logo, color, type, packaging, messaging, into one brand guide.
